As LSAC announced in October 2023, starting with the August 2024 administration, the Analytical Reasoning section, commonly known as “logic games,” will no longer be included in the LSAT® and will be replaced by a second scored Logical Reasoning section. Thus, starting with the August 2024 test, the LSAT will consist of two scored Logical Reasoning sections, one scored Reading Comprehension section, and one unscored variable section (of either Logical Reasoning or Reading Comprehension). The variable section is used to field test questions for future use and ensure they are free of any form of bias.

Through LawHub, powered by LSAC, you now have access to two sets of practice tests. One set reflects the existing test format, which will be used through the current testing year, ending with the June 2024 administration. The other set reflects the new test format, which will be used for the August 2024 test and beyond. The primary difference between the two sets is the overall format of the practice test, not the content of the Logical Reasoning or Reading Comprehension practice questions.

The content in the Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension sections of the LSAT is not changing. The changes will only affect the test format. Therefore, the two sets of test prep materials for the current (June 2024 and before) format and the new (August 2024 and beyond) format are interchangeable in terms of preparing for Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension questions.

If you plan to take the LSAT in April or June 2024, choose the practice tests under Up To June 2024 Admin Test Format. If you plan to take the LSAT in the 2024-25 testing cycle, use the practice tests under August 2024 Admin Test Format.
